Gemini Nurse Call FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Set out below are the most popular questions that we get asked about this product.

Q. I have a Nursecall system which uses pendants and APG1 pagers. Some of my staff carry a pager and wear a pendant. Is there a combined unit?

A. Yes, the GPM effectively combines the functions of a pendant and a pager.

Q. I have a GPM transceiver which I have to recharge in a charging rack. Is it possible to buy a separate charger with spare batteries?

A. Yes, there is a separate charger that charges 4 batteries as 2 pairs. Part number of the charger is 011520000 and the battery is 151001.

Q. How do I add my new GPM to my Gemini Nursecall system?

A. The GPM is treated as a combination of a GBH Bedhead and a pager. Add the transmitter identity as a Bedhead, refer to User Manual for the AEN2G. The identity code is printed on a label inside the battery compartment; you can also use the "unlisted" facility to get the system to display the code (press Control-S, Control-T, U, Esc, Esc or refer to AEN2G User Manual). The pager side is registered as a normal pager. User Manuals are available from individual product pages.

Q. Can I connect more than one ceiling pull-switch to a GBH?

A. Yes, each switch is connected in parallel.

Q. Does a GBR-S output RS485 data.

A. No, The GBR-S is designed as a stand-alone unit.

Q. Is it possible to connect a Gemini Nursecall system to a Minder system?

A. Yes, alarms from the Gemini Nursecall are relayed into the Minder system central control PC and displayed on the screen, sent to peripheral devices and sent out to pagers or Minder mobiles in the same way as alarms from within the Minder system.

Q. My GPM mobile is fitted with a TILT alarm, do I need a special charging-rack?
